Conceived years ago but only fully realized this year, this "Silent Night" arrangement is a deeply personal track for me. There is tension in this narrative; a virgin mother, a newborn savior, an unsafe trek through perilous country, a manger bed, a king worshipped by shepherds... This night is one of reflection, adoration, and an understanding that while we can't understand it all we can grasp the underlying truth: Emmanuel! God is with us!
