Promise (3am Mix) – Ciara

This mix was an experiment for the benefit of my students in Audio Technology. What do you do if you don’t have access to the original stems of a song. Are there ANY options to create something new when all you have is a finished mix, and instrumental track, and an acapella track?

YES!

This mix was created completely in Adobe Audition (no beat mapping), using the original mix, an instrumental track, and an acapella track (the thumbnail for this video is a screencap of the final multitrack session).
